    Hi all
    I hope everyone is well!
I am a new poster here and am looking for help, I have a Dell XPS M1730 with a Mata BD-RE UJ-220 ATA Blu-Ray drive. I am thinking of upgrading to win7 x64. However I can't find any drivers and to be honest the Panasonic website is the worst piece of web design I have ever seen.
Also, I cannot find any Vista drivers for my particular drive, even after searching the dell website with my laptop's service tag. (this is in case I go ahead with the update and the auto update yields no results)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Brad

Optical drives generally do not need any specific drivers besides what Windows already installs.

You are correct it is very rare to find a drive that actually needs drivers. In my experience I have never come across that. This is why you are probably having a hard time finding them because they don't exist. Usually what you have to worry about with Blu-ray drives is that your processor Ram and Video Card Cant handle it but you dont have to worry about it since you already have the dirve installed.

I would worry more about finding Blu-ray software that is compatible with 64 bit more than the drivers
