    Hello Folks,

After a long search, it looks as though I found a good notebook forum...

I'm a regular poster on most of the pc mod sites around the web, primarily PC Perspective. I've only recently ventured into the world of notebook computers.

I picked up a nice Compaq Presario for a cheap price. Thought it would be nice to use on business trips. Right away I discovered it would bog down rather easily when I had multiple windows opened. I upgraded the ram and the hard drive and it's made quite a bit of difference in speed. Since I was going down the upgrade path, I thought I'd see if I could do a CPU upgrade as well. I've searched through the archives and found you can upgrade a Dothan mobile processor with another Dothan(thanks miner), but I didn't find what size processor would be the max I could put in my computer. I figure if you're going to the trouble of upgrading. Why not put the fastest CPU in the slot.

If anyone could help me with this, I would be appreciative.
