So My current Alienware has a 1600x900 screen, I'm wanting to upgrade it to a 1080p 120hz 3d display, but my question is, can this be done, will the motherboard have the proper connectors?? I've been building pc's for a while, but it's the first time I deal with laptops, so I'm not sure how this works... Help appreciated.

make sure you are the nvidia family, amd does not support 120hz, other than that call laptopscreen to actually figure out, but to save a lot of time just simply get the matte 60 hz will suffice

Yes I have a 660m, I know a regular 1080p dispaly would work, but If I'm going to upgrade I'd like to max it out. Does anyone have a 3d display, From more reaserch I now know the laptop has the right ports for it, but will it fit in the bezzel or do I need a new bezzel.
