    Hello, can someone confirm that my eyes are not deceiving me and there is in fact no line-in jack on the M1710. :(

    (May seem a silly question, I just don't want to believe it's true)

    Yes there is. The "MIC IN" port is the line in. :)

    Mic and line-in are not (usually) the same. But I have solved the problem. :)
