Well look over here : IntelĀ® X25-V Value SATA Solid-State Drive - Overview

Intel just released its X25-V Series with the godly 34nm x25-m series are carrying. The V just so happens to mean Value, they start a very low price and they go upto 40GB. So if your looking to outfit your alienware m11x with an intel ssd but couldnt afford it heres your chance ;)

P.S - im not an intel sales rep.. just thought i should let the alienware community whos helped me alot know such a product.

X25-V is actually pretty gimped. With half the NAND chips of a 80GB, it's only half the speed. It's better than HDD for a lot of tasks, but not all, and definitely not the slam dunk that the X25-Ms are.

80GB is already pretty limiting, I can't imagine 40GB in a gaming laptop.

I agree, 40GB is just to small. Look for a 80GB G2 Intel driver or the new OCZ Agility 2 60GB drive.

OCZ actually started releasing the 96GB version of their drives, which is a fantastic balance between the low capacity problem of 60GB drives, and the price premium of 120GB drives. 96GB is more than enough for your OS, apps, and several games.

Yup, the Kingston SSDNow is a decent piece of hardware for the pricetag. We've got a guy in our office who has one on his T61 and he seems to like it. Other than the fact that it's a bit small :)
