A 2GB stick is almost impossible to find at a store.

Just out of curiosity, what are you doing that uses so much RAM? I doubt you will find any cheap 2 GB single modules...

    Hmmm...two sticks of 2GB DDR2 or a down payment on a house...decisions decisions... ;)

Seriously though, even through crucial, you're looking at 3 grand for that much RAM. Give it some time and it'll come down to a more reasonable price, but it won't be anytime in the next year, I bet ya.

I'm always working with photoshop, and I need that much ram to run multiple documents which can be easily up to 40mb each. Some features in photoshop need a decent amount of memory to get the work done quick, and I hate working with slow pace. Hope that answer your curiosity. :)

Actually that is pretty cheap for a 2GB module....
If you don't want to spend that much money just wait.
The first 2GB module I saw few months ago was about $1500-2000 so for sure the price is dropping.

Ya, right. I guess I could wait for that. Hopefully, I won't have to wait very long. :)
