I have had my latitude for about two weeks now.
    D820
    Core2 T2700 2GHz
    2 G Ram 667
    100 G 7200rpm
    Quadro NVS 120

Now, the screen is great, its a Phillips. I thought it would be faster but its ok.
    3Dmark05 up to 2016, with 7400 driver
    SuperPi 1:02, plugged in
1:55 battery(battery life lights have never been on!?)

The problem is this, when using the stick a "lock up" will happen occasionally-I have no control over the cursor and it moves slowly up the screen and stops about 5 secs later. The touchpad seems to be fussy at times also. And this is completely unacceptable. I got support from Dell, they sent out a replacement keyboard (and it arrived the next day!)

The same problem is happening with the replacement and they are now sending me another replacement. And now, sometimes, I can't click anything but can move the cursor. It's possible that it was the keyboard, but the tech said it may be the motherboard. There may be a correlation with this problem and temperature(or not)
    CPU GPU HD(in Fahrenheit)
    Plugged 105-125 125 115
    Unplugg 81-88 120 81-88
Seems to happen more, and more severely, when plugged in

I am contemplating just returning the whole notebook so I am possibly avoid weeks, months or years of problems. Is it a good idea not to take a chance and just return it now?(i think there is a 15% restock fee)

If it is defective there should be no restock fee.
