    I'm not sure if Vista x64 is worth it, so I'm undecided between a Turion X2 TL-56 1.8GHz for x64 or forget about it and go with a CD T2450 2.0GHz. If both PCs have the same specs but Vista x64 and Vista x86, do you guys think the TL-56 will run faster than the Core Duo because it is in x64? Thanks for your help!

    I think the CD will run faster than TL-56 even with Windows 64. The 25% more clocks is to much to overcome. But, the TL-56 can run faster RAM and that can sometimes affect overall system performance. I think the mainstream is going to stay 32 OS till next OS so if the same price your still in good shape w/CD 32.

    I think the TL-56 is 65nm now so it will be a closer race know

    I would like someone to clarify this, I have the impression reducing die lowers heat out put and power draw. I was not aware of a speed boost with the same clocks? Can someone set me straight?
