Have dropped or jarred the computer recently? Was it exposed to any liquids or chemicals? Did you notice and static charges?

Could be a motherboard issue or a RAM issue as well. Something is causing the computer not go past the post process. If possible take out your RAM and re-seat it. Also if possible, take out the hard drive and re-seat it as well.

Take the battery out and unplug if from any power source. Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds to one minute. Replace the battery and connect the power adapter to a wall outlet.

If none of these suggestions work, further diagnostics will have to be performed to determine the pinpoint the problem.
