I'm looking for a laptop for programming/research for college. I'd like to run CSS and maybe SC2 on low settings.

    I'm looking at the i3-2310M and a6-3400M.

    Which one is better?

You can recommend me a 15" laptop for under 700$

    Thank you

Well... games are a lot more demanding than most programming - especially if you're a freshman. I doubt you'll be doing huge projects that require an hour of compilation.

Programming? for programming you need a good screen. 15" with 1366x768 resolution is really low for programming because you can't fit very many lines of code onscreen, and you can't fit very many property/error/etc. windows either.

If you can find a good screen resolution for under 700$, didn't found one.
