    Hi,

I Connected my 4 years old HP laptop to my new SONY 32" LCD with VGA cable.
While I am running my lap top with out power connection (running on battery)
The picture coming on TV is fine

If I connect my AC adapter (power supply) to my laptop - Fluctuations (some kind of flickering) coming on my TV. - If I removed the power connection to laptop then all fine.

What might be the problem - Laptop or VGA Cable or TV

    Please help me.

    Thank you,
    Rao

Plug the computer and TV to different power outlets (different then the ones they're in now).

Or, if your notebook or TV have a ground wire (3 wire plug), then it is faulty or the actual outlet you're plugging into is wired incorrectly.

If the VGA cable is running parallel to a power cable (the notebooks?) this could also be the problem, but that would make it a very cheap cable!

Hope one of these gives you a hint to fix your issue.

    Interference FTL.

I'd try to separate the cables.
