    So guys. I need an external sound card for my laptop. I DJ and im lookin to go all laptop now. Im tired of luggin CD's and decks. What external soundcard am i going to need to hook up to the speakers. VERY large speakers at that

    You have a variety of options here. Personally i am a big fan of the Echo Indigo line of cards. The 'DJ' version has dual outputs and a built in amp. It is an expresscard solution so it naturally slots into your machine for a near seamless upgrade to the laptop sound experience. the link is here:

    The limitation to this card, although it is pro-grade is that is really suited to small room-medium size club applications. It essentially is an entry level pro-grade card.

    For your needs i would suggest a breakout box that connects either through an expresscard or more commonly through a free usb port. M-audio has a great option of which i can't remember off hand but i will submit two links. One to www.djtechtools.com which has a lot of info, techniques and equipment for the digital DJ.
