Hey all, My asus runs hot (i've heard it happens to all asus), but I was wondering what a good cooling solution would be. I dont think a cooling pad would be good because every 3 days I move the laptop from my moms to my dads, and I always use the laptop on my lap. I was looking for a program that would allow me to choose when I want to run the fan, but couldn't find one. Undervolting doesnt do much for me, as I have tried it and it only causes the computer to crash. I basically use this computer for internet surfing and games (Battlefield 2, Test Drive Unlimited)

    any solutions would be great.

well start off by setting it on a desk , elevate the bottom so that air flow is increased(use bottle caps, erasers, just don't cover any vents.) make sure that the place ur playing is cool(turn on the AC) and did u use the undervolting guide on this website? u should undervolt it slowly and don't rush it down. try to avoid using it on ur lap or on a soft surface(bed or sofa).

Look at the coolermaster notepal infinite laptop cooler as you can use it on your lap. Maybe clean out your fans, etc. If you undervolt correctly it shouldnt crash.

Check out Antec's products, they are pretty much mobile....
