    I believe that the LED backlit screens are only available for 13.3" and smaller screens.
    I would not make an entire purchase around led backlighting though.
    It does not make a wink of difference in viewing. It simply has better contrast and lower power consumption.

    I would expect maybe 14.4" screens to be backlit by the end of this year.
    It is going to be a while until the screen manufacturers make larger led backlit screens.

    The Macbook Pro line has LED backlit screens in both their 15.4 and 17 inch models.

    Wow, samsung actually made a 15.4" led backlit screen.
    Sorry for the wrong info.
    Its just a matter of when a manufacturer feels that enough led screens will sell before they market a laptop with that screen
