    Hey people,

Okay, I have acces to another 15.6 LED LCD panel. One is LG other one is AOU(?).

I have attached picture of both, I'm currently on the AOU, but it is a long time ago I used the LG one, but have a small memory of it was bit more bright (positive). Now, is there any site which compares LCD panels?

Unless you're increasing resolution substantially, getting better (accurate) colours (and that is important for your computer work or simply your preference) and/or will be able to sell the old display and break even or make a profit, I think going to all this trouble for a 'bit more brighter' display is not time or money well spent. All of this with the possibility of damaging something in the system while in the process of exchanging a basically equivalent part.

Of course, just my 2 cents worth, so do take this as it's intended: an overview of what you seem to be getting yourself into.

    Hope it helps. :)

Hey thanks for the answer. But I'm not buying anything. this is an unused panel, as I have turned my ASUS in to a desktop. It is hooked up to my TV for ever now, and things like, WLAN, LCD, MODEM are removed. I won't be sell either of the LCD panles. AND, my both laptops are now apart. So, it the time and price is not a issue here. What I wonder is if there is some data about those panels, and if there are anything diffrent. Some therads here say LG LCDs are bad, some other say stay away from AOU..

However, REP added, any other ideas people?

Well in that case... I would be tempted to hook up both panels to your converted Asus (do you have the connections available to do this?).

    Thanks for the rep!

In theory yes. But no. My Asus's adapter is back my TV, XBOX and whole stuff. Then I have to recharge the battery, unplug it from my TV, speakers and everything then hook up the monitor... It will take too much time. I just wanted to hear if anyone had actually any experience about this panels, and any obvious + or -.
