I just purchased 2 of these to run 2 gigs http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820144183 for my Dell I6000 1.6ghz. Just a little confimation this will work for me right? And here comes the DUMB question will I see a significant difference between 1 gig and 2 gigs when I play games? I had 2 512's in there and uncertain if anything above 1 gig would make that much of a noticable difference.

That should work just fine for you. As to performance, it might help a little, but RAM isn't your bottleneck, it's likely the GPU.

Agreed, that memory will work fine.

Since your notebook doesn't have the horsepower to play at higher resolutions and settings, you won't see a performance increase going from 1GB > 2.
