    Is it a bad thing for the graph to be jagged like this? No other programs were accessing the drive while the test was run.

    Not at all, not even any major spikes. Your drive looks good to me.

    OP just to make clear, major spikes would not indicate a drive issue per se. But you do not even have. Your drive is 100% A OK!

    Thanks for the feedback. It's just that other graphs I've seen of this drive are smoother. The performance from this one is pretty great, so unless it fails I won't exchange it. :)

    Yea, that's perfectly normal for a 5400rpm drive.

    I thought the BEKT was a 7200RPM model, and the BE VT was a 5400RPM drive. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
