    Is there any IPS 14 inch panels which are 1366 x 768 (standard HD) out there?

    Very limited to my ribbon cable my notebook has, and actual not bothered about not having FHD on a 14inch panel, looking for a IPS panel that is 14 inch as a replacement for the terrible run of the mill TN panels we all get.

    I have been looking, but cannot find such a thing or anything for sale

    Is there any IPS 14 inch panels which are 1366 x 768 (standard HD) out there? If so where can I find one?

    Yeah that what I thought, if otherwise then they will be rare as hens teeth and cost an arm and a leg.

    Is there any highly recommended TN panels with excellent viewing angle and a high colour gamut?

    No, and definitely not at 1366x768.

    It pretty much comes down to the choice between "horrible" and "slightly less horrible" with that screen size/resolution.

    At the moment I have very horrible, with no viewing angle at all vertically, and a set of horrible bands that run vertically across the screen. There is got to be some better around, or at least somewhat acceptable question is what?

    HP Envy DV4-53XX series

    Actually I had a DV4-50XX series notebook earlier mid last year, and it had exactly the same panel as the DV4-53XX.
    I currently also have a budget Compaq CQ45, and this has a slightly better panel by a faction, without the graininess, but not worth ripping both apart to exchange, that for sure.
