I spilled bottled water on my keyboard. Now it is doing funny things.

Some keys are unresponsive, others don't type what they should.

The number 1 is continually being printed without me hitting any keys and it won't stop.

It is a USB keyboard for a desktop.

Is there anything that can be done to fix it?

Do I need a new keyboard?

Have you tried cleaning the keyboard with rubbing alcohol. It will help dry up any water deposits.
If the keyboard still doesnt work, you can try Returning it to the manufacturer.
If there is no warranty, than take your keyboard apart and clean the individual parts with rubbing alcohol.

If all fails, a new keyboard will fix the problem.

(Moderators) can this be moved to the "accesories" forum?

Update: Now none of the keys work. What does it say that some keys did work, and now none do?

When I plug the keyboard into the computer, I get a windows message.

"one of the usb devices attatched to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it."

Does that message mean it will never be able to recognize it?

I would hate to buy a keyboard today and have the old one start working.
