    Heya

Just saw a T7500 for $300 over here including shipping, brand new with guarantee from a well known computerstore.
The cheapest T7600 is $642 over here, so that's why i'm asking. $300 seems to be very cheap for the T7500.

And i'm asking for you guys advice, is the upgrade worth it? I mean 1.83Ghz 2MB vs 2.2GHz 4MB? I tend to use alot of CPU-usage from time to time.

    Thanks in advance

    /Michel.K

Unfortunately, the T7500 won't work, since it is Socket P, whereas the T5600 and The T7600 are both Socket M.

Oh, too bad. It was listed under the Socket 479 on the store i checked. So i didn't think of doublechecking that.

Thanks Andy! As always you always know the answers! Hehe.

I bought my T7600 for $300 from this seller on fleabay.

You don't really need a warranty, a DOA warranty is fine. Stress test (OCed, UVed and at stock) the CPU for a day or two, and you can find out if the CPU was a good buy or not. ;)

I remember seeing some sellers selling the same CPU for about $350 with a Month's Warranty.

Seems even cheaper! Compared to .se prices :) I wonder what the shipping is to Stockholm, Sweden though, anyways, i never used ebay really. Is it easy to use? With accounts and such? (i guess, but i'm just doublechecking hehe)

I don't care much about warranty aslong as it's working it's not gonna die really, so i understand you perfectly there! Never had a CPU die on me for the last 10 years (or yeah a duron 900 oced to 1700 getting to much voltage at 1800mhz hehe).

Unless you have a specific need, my personal opinion is no, it's not worth it. Where the extra cache comes in handy is CPU intensive tasks. For Office and Internet there's little value there. I did upgrade my R60 from a T2300e to a T7400, but only because I got a very good deal on it. In day to day usage, there's little difference between the two.

If you're set on doing it, I think the T7200 or T7400, which can be had for much less, offers better value.

Ebay is fine, been using it since the last 5 years. (I am in the UK, and shipping for me was about $30. You can contact the seller on this)

The T7200 is an option, but doesn't provide a significant boost in CPU intensive tasks as compared to the T5600.
    T7400 is available for ~$200....
