For example the Toshiba Netbook 500 series screen is 1024x600. Does anyone know of a 1366 x 768 screen that would work?

Note that there was a matte and glossy version if you have a preference.

And keep us updated. I'd like to know! I guess worse case you can always sell the screen on eBay for $25-30 and get a little money back, or maybe they take returns with restocking fee, I dunno.

Well I chose a matte screen since it's going to be on the go with lots of light everywhere. I also did their $5 return for any reason insurance, so we will see! I will keep you guys updated :D

Ok just did it and it went flawlessly without any problems. The standard LCD was a LG and they sent me an LG, hooked it up, everything works no problem! Sees the 1366 x 768 no problem. Took like 10 minutes so have fun!

Thank you CoolMod & HTWingNut! I was looking for a netbook sized computer with long battery life but couldn't stomach the 1024x600 screens. Thanks to this thread I just picked up a Toshiba NB505 with a cracked screen for dirt cheap and have a 1366x768 matte screen on the way.

I had a Dell Mini 1012 and the screen was actually really nice. The CPU is what was really miserable. :p Although now that I know this, good idea at picking up a cheap one on eBay with a broken screen if I need a throw away netbook.

Your only viable option is a matte screen protector.

    Hi,

I've just tried to upgrade my Toshiba NB550D with a WXGA LG screen and it has strange banding artifacts in some of the colours, I'm wondering whether the screen itself has a fault or whether it's incompatible. It performs well apart from the colour glitch. If your screen upgrade worked then it should be the same for the NB550D yes? Which model Toshiba netbook have you got? thanks
