    Ok is it possible to replace the 5400rpm drive on the vostro 1500 with a 7200rpm after I receive it? will it void the warranty and will it work?

    Yes you can, and no it won't void warranty. Dell is pretty lenient on upgrading the RAM and HD.

    Computer's do not have a limit on the rotational speed of its hard drive. If it exists, you can have it in there. It's not like ram where your computer will only support up to certain speeds.
