Its a no name, very bland memory. There is a reason why its 2/3 the price of Kingston.

Kinston, corsiar, crucial are good brands I have hear good things about OCZ and Im using Pqi(no name brand I may get rid of) cause I was tight on money, but all the other pcs I built have kingston in them. I may swap the pqi in my lappy for kingston or another good brand but until it screws up Im satisfied.

see the issue with savuing money onram is that its a hit or miss. Yeah I saved around $100 on my ram, but I may need to buy new ram in the near furture due to failure. But then again it may last the test iof time Ill never know.

I got some Kingston RAM on Sunday, and it arrived today. When I get home later, Ill tell you how the installation went. The only reason I wnt for it is because of Kingston's good reputation.

Well, most people agree that Kingston is a good/reputable brand, but can anyone comment on their "Value Ram" line?

i have 2 sticks of 512 and havent had any problem with them,i think its pretty good ram and besides this ram was cheap compared to the compusa that i saw and some pny,it was the only line that they where selling in three different stores.

stay away from pny. The retail chain i work for carries kingston and i am always shocked at the rediculously low return rate for that stuff. It isn't necessarily top of the line but it gets it done. i have always liked OCZ, crucial, corsair, and i a about to buy some transcend because of the good things i hear about them working with turion processors.

    Good Luck,
    Samuel

Kingston is good. Crucial is the best-incredible stable and built from start to finish and in the USA (I live near their HQ and have met their CEO) you'll pay more (actually the most) for crucial but its worth it.

Corsair is very good performance ram but it tends to have issues. I've heard of lots of DOA cases and other issues.

I have Value Ram in my laptop. No complaints, except for the idiot that improperly installed it the first time around :D

Kingston is a good name from the comments I've come across.

I have a 2x512 ValueRam Kingston in my desktop and it's been rock-solid. Of course, no overclocking or other such monkey business.

Overclocking is monkey business? Man, I guess I have somehow become a monkey then.
