What is the difference in Intel's model number for the X25-M?

I've seen ones all over the internet with model numbers:

    SSDSA2MH080 G1C5

    SSDSA2MH080 G1GN

And a couple more... But what is he difference?

There is usually little difference in their performance as well as in their names, those model names are in series and can only mean that the other model is only one short less from the other one in order for it to be sold cheaper..

There's NO performance difference. Looks like there's slight physical differences but other than that the model numbers are meaningless to consumers.

For example for the X25-E SSD here are the meanings of the model numbers:

    SSDSA2SH032G101 - 1 unit
    SSDSA2SH032G1C5 - 5 units
    SSDSA2SH032G1 - 50 units

But we don't care about that because only the people that wants to order from Intel needs to know this info.

FWIW - I asked a similar question to a hard drive company (Seagate or WD?) a year ago and was told slight differences in their numbers were for marketing purposes only. The drives were identical.
