I am thinking about getting the lenovo x200t, and it has these two processor options, how much more powerful will the sl9400 be? and how much more battery life will I get on the SU9300? I looked up a the power ratings and they are 10w, and 17w, but these are at full load, not idle

I will by mostly typing notes in class, wifi on about 50% of the time, and brightness set to 40-50%

well performance wie the sl9400 will be faster, but on battery the su9300 will be better.
I cant state exactly how much faster or energy efficient, but you can think of it this way. The SL9400 will get 10/17ths of the battery life the Su9300 will get when running at full load.
However in real life both cpu's will idle at the same clock speed and probably the same voltage, so they should both get great battery life.
I would say maybe a 30 minute battery difference between the two.
