I am considering using replacing the 5400rpm hdd in a laptop with a ssd. Right now the post-rebate price for the 120gb Intel 510 on Amazon is the same as the price of the 120gb Intel 320, but the 320 comes with a free game. Speed is important, but what is most important is reliability.
    Laptop supports Sata 6gbps

If you prefer reliability over speed I'd go with Intel 320.

Intel 510 isn't proving the most reliable so far, see Newegg.com.

The 510 on Newegg comes with a free game. And if the notebook supports 6GBs why would you not take advantage of that?

Just checked, seems like Intel 510 has been getting better now, while Intel 320 received some negative ratings.

If you look at both 250GB and 120GB Intel 510, there are some failures mentioned. You have to look beyond the number of stars.

I am also considering the Crucial M4 128gb, price-wise seems in between the 320 and the 510, but a bit more capacity. Possibly the 160gb version of the 320, but that one is a slight budget stretch, haven't seen a price lower than $310 on it.
