It has a ulv 1.2ghz core 2 duo processor and intels gma 950 gpu. I know, its no power house, its actually a tablet pc and thats why I bought it. I was just curious if it'll play blu-ray movies if I buy an external drive for it.

It will play a blu-ray movie, except it may need to run at full power in order to do so. The really only limiting factor is the gpu. The 950 may have some difficulty playing blu-ray movies, if you are watching the movie on the tablet, you should be fine cause the screen is small, but if you are playing the movie on a projector or large lcd screen, you may notice the movie running a bit slow and jagged.

If you have a blu-ray movie, play it on their, and let us know how it works for you

Well when I do play them I'd be near a wall outlet so playing on full power isn't a problem. I don't have a blu-ray drive but I'm thinking of getting one, but I need to know how well it would work before I actually went out and bought one. The screen is 1280x800 so it would run at around 720p, not the full 1080p.

I cant guarantee anything, cause I dont have any blu-ray movies. If they do play, they would probably play a bit choppy. Is there a reason you cant go with dvd quality movie?
Or do you want higher quality video?
