I have a Compaq M2000, which for the past while, has had power issues - we had to buy a new charger because the wire became frayed at one point, adn even with the new one, its been iffy about charging. Well, now it won't charge or anything...

Anybody have suggestions about this? It may be the solder points from the power to the notebook may have broken off or soemthing...I remember someone saying something liek that before.

Sounds like your battery is dead! Do a search! Battery's dont last for ever! 300 to 1000 cycles!

No, not the battery. When plugged in, it won't even turn on.

I know that the battery was wearing down; it was down to ~20 minutes xD

Ok, just pulled the battery and turned it on...and put the battery back in...Man, this things so gimped...

    Well, its working...for the moment
