I've been using Samsung PM830 128GB since a year now, but requirements regarding capacity were rising with every new task assignment. Yesteraday I received my 1TB EVO 2,5" Basic version. Cloning took 49 minutes (due to USB2.0 34MB/s external enclosure limits) I inserted new drive and ... wow... did not expected that change. Even from SSD to SSD, boot reduced slightly (no visible W7 animation) loads are instantanous! This thing is crazy fast! With Rapid enabled I achieved some interesting results:

    EDIT: EVO fresh, no Rapid:

It was very easy migration, no hassle no issues ... clone, remove, insert ...go. I was affraid that Samsung Data Migration tool might not want to work with 'Basic' version of this product, but it did flwalessly. I'm just posting this to point out that there is still place for improvement, I was expecting only larger capacity but also speed was delivered.

    This were results for PM830:

Yeah, I see that kind of difference between SSD's from the same generation but different manufacturers.

All things are not created equal.

Highly recommend you disable RAPID and after checking your drive's firmware is up to date; remove Magician completely actually (install if you need to update the firmware then un-install again).
