    Hello,
Laptop screen degrades with time, and goes dimmer.
    1. What exactly goes bad ? LCD Backlight goes dimmer ? After how many years ?
    2. How to ensure maximum LCD life ?
    3. Can windows screensaver enhance LCD/Backlight life ?

    Please tell all options.

    Thank You.

I'll just say that screensaver does nothing for LCD screens. It'd be better letting it shut off.

However, I wonder what wear is on the backlight if you let it turn on and off alot.

So, it is best to put it in STANDBY or HIBERNATE than screensaver ?
After what period of regular use, does LCD appear dimmer ?
