Just ordered a HP 8560w with a traditional HDD. At home I got an SSD that I want to put in the laptop and use the upgrade bay to put the existing HDD in.

My question is how do I do this with respect to moving all the software/OS to the SSD? Could I choose to have some stuff like the hidden partition on the HDD? What are the steps? Not asking about the physical work of changing the drive.

About to upgrade my G73 to a SSD myself, it already had two drives in it so some of the steps i did, might not be needed on your part. Here's what i did/plan to do. Clone the recovery partition on the second HDD (done), move all my data, libraries etc to the second drive (done), reinstall windows and my programs on the SSD and finally, "move" the libraries to the D:\ drive. You cna go the extra mile and move all the user folders to the D:\ drive using the method in this post: http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...gramdata-folder-separate-drive-partition.html
