    Hello all,

The GPU fan on my p25w completely shut down, and I think the only way to fix it is to replace the fan. What's difficult is this manufacturer imposed plastic all over the GPU itself, probably put in there by the OEM. Does anyone have a guide for how to access the GPU short of taking the entire laptop apart?

I'm not even sure if I can take the entire laptop apart. Removed most screws and it's still stubborn. What's frustrating is that I think something is just stuck in the fan.

    Thank you guys

EDIT: And no, there's not a huge problem with heat because the laptop runs on an intel GFX card when not playing games

Can't you remove the second cover, next to the large, single-screw one? And make sure to trace the stickers on the bottom by pushing a screwdriver along their surface, in case a screw is hidden underneath. They sometimes do this to annoy their customers/users, for some unfathomable reason or another.

YEAH it's the second cover giving me problems. No matter how many screws it won't budge. Do I unscrew it from the motherboard, or how otherwise would I take it off?

and what do you mean by "trace the stickers at the bottom"?

Can you post some pics? Maybe you'll get some more input with pics of the cover you are referring to.

They sometimes place them over a recessed screw, hiding it from view. Of course, you could just remove the stickers altogether, if you want. Some people prefer to keep the stickers though, strange as that may sound. My first order of business is removing all stickers and cleaning the residue with camp stove fuel.
