Okay, I am not sure how trivial this question is, but it is one that got me very curious.

I recently bought an HP dv9000z series laptop with AMD Turion X2 TL-60, and I have been looking for a memory upgrade since. (hopefully from 1 GB to 2 GB) I would really like to know is there much, if any, difference in perfomance or realibility of memory modules from one manufactures to another? If so, which manufacturers are recommended and which are frowned upon? I understand that this is an opinion question, but, I guess, that is exactly what I am looking for.

There's exactly no different in performance between manufacturers. (Assuming the specs are the same)

The difference is generally in reliability and how much it can be overclocked.
