I have one of those 4tb wd my passports and it's now in the red on the my computer screen, win7, and still has almost 350 gb of free space. So I'm guessing the "safe" limit for w7 is around 10% free space, but is this really necessary? I mean it's a freaking 350gb! Anyone have any experience on this or can point me to an expert article?

Its just to warn the user that the disk is almost full, nothing more.
