I'm pretty sure that my Hard drive is 120GB @5400rpm, someone told me today that it is 4200rpm. How do I figure that out?

You can download a program called Everest. It gives you lots of details about the various components, in your notebook. However, I don't think it gives you the spin rate. It does give you the model number of the drive, so you should be able to search it on google, and determine the speed that way. Hope this helps.

From my experience if you are able to acquire the model number of your driver and search it on google, you should get results.

You can get the model number from the device manager under the disk drives tab. Google that and you should get a spin rate!
