So I'm looking at two drives:

One with with 1.8W Seek, 0.2 W Idle

    One with 2.6W Seek, 0.25 W Idle

What the difference in the amount of power consumption? (Approximately of course.) 20mins or more?

About that, give or take. Is this between a 5400rpm and 7200rpm? The performance increase might be worth it.

Well that of course is dependant on how much the hard drive is spinning; if its idling for most of the time then the difference in power consumption would be almost non-existent. If its spinning most of the time well then you would notice a difference in power consumption. Im not sure how much but im sure someone has already tested this somewhere.

Well, a 6 cell battery is ~54W. The second hard drive consumes 0.8W/hour more in load and 0.05W/hour more in idle. Not a big difference.
