hi everyone i recently bought a dv6t quad edition and i want to make sure this laptop will last me for a while.

I was just concerned about the hot temperatures during the summer. I sleep in 3 floors house with my room being in the last floor. During the summer my rooms gets really hot and i always need to keep the air condition on. But i am not in my room, my laptop stays there and i am afraid that the high temperature might hurt the laptop.

In this forum i always here about people saying to leave the laptop in a cool room and i was just if leaving it in my room during a hot summer might actually affect the laptop.

Also i have another question. I leave the laptop on charge most of the times. Will this kill my batter or is it ok?

    thank you

You said "high temperature" but you didn't specify exactly how high? Nor whether your laptop is in operation or not? Nevertheless, as a general rule, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, if it's too hot for your laptop, then it's too hot for you too. Provided the unit is not in operation.

Yes, but not overnight; and the degradation will occur no mater what you do. Still, there are measure you can take to significantly decrease the degree to which that happens. I won't go into detail here since this topic has been covered in on multiple occasions and is available under batteries.
