Hi guys i am having a nightmare trying to find out what wireless card fits into this laptop, it does have a slot for one, but i have searched everywhere over a couple of days but to no avail.

It is the same as the Mitac 8640 laptop, but nowt on that either.
Does anyone know what card it takes.
    Thanks

"The 8640 also has a mini-PCI slot for an optional wireless NIC card and it too is located under the keyboard. Brands of wireless card is important and I've had at least one brand fail to install correctly and so do not assume that any old card can be installed -- even if the wireless antenna is in place."

"All you need to do is unscrew the 8 screws holding the cover for memory/miniPCI slots compartment. It is located above battery compartment. The internal antenna end with U.fl connector is located near the miniPCI slot. "

Looks like the computer has a single antenna. So, any mini-PCI wifi card using one stream signal (b or g) should work... If not, get a refund ;)

    Good luck...
