Send it back for a refund. Don't buy consumer notebooks.

Considering this is a new laptop, you shouldn't have to do anything; HP should fix it for you.

unfortunately it apparently needs repair. Also any new computer, HP or otherwise, can end up with issues. This is why there is a warrenty. While I feel for you the warrenty service should fix it, now if you had a few repairs and it does not get fixed then I would agree with your rant not to purchase a HP....................

Yep, send it back. Although if you're desperate you'll have to open it up and try to reseat the video connector. But for a new laptop I'd hate to say to do that. Call up HP and see what they can do for you. Perhaps overnight you a prebuilt or something.

The tech support guy said it would take them like 9 days to repair it. I`ll try to have this fixed at Best Buy, if they do not fix it, I`ll contact HP sales department.

Can't you simply trade for a new one at Best Buy?

If I couldn't exchange it (in five minutes) at the store I bought it from, I would rather be without it for my trip (you're effectively without it anyways - why should BB and HP benefit from you any further...).

Exchange or get your money back TODAY - no other options (for me).

(Even if you got your money back - I would still buy the same model/system after returning from your trip - nice setup (especially with 16GB RAM... :) ).

    Good luck.
