I am a noob in laptops and never got a chance to see and read about Laptop components. So I have a doubt of what all is fixed upon my mobo. As I need some changes in it.

Here is a pic of my Laptop, Mobo

    Here are the specs:
Model : FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO L7320
    Processor : Intel Celeron M

    My chipset is from VIA

    With Model numbers:
North Bridge : VIA P4M800 Pro
    South Bridge : VIA VT8237

I have marked some circles over some UNKNOWN components. As I was like  what the heck is all this tiny tiny lol

I have marked A,B,C,D,E,F in the pic, pls if some one can let me know in the format what those things are.

    A:
    B:
    C:
    D:
    E:

there is one slot in which currently there is a card, pls let me know what slot it is & what card it is.And can I put a new graphics card on it or not.

    Regards

A: Empty "socket" where some chip could be soldered.
B: South Bridge (it even says VT8237).
C: Pure wireless or combo card.
    D: North Bridge.
    E: Processor.

And there's pretty much no way you can install a new GPU.

Nope. That empty socket does not and will not house anything. I don't think you can put a dual-core in there.

Nope, the reason being that GPUs are usually soldered to the mainboard.

    QUESTIONS

    Q. Now what does that AGP Controller means ?
    Q. What does Apperture Size means ? as its 256 MB what does that signifies ? Can it contribute to my graphics memory or what ?
    Q. Should I go for the system and video bios upgrades as they are almost 2 years old.
    Q. In this system can I have a USB sound option ? i mean if possible can i input a USB cable of a kind which has sound + recorder port at its end to get the sound from the system and send the sound into the system using USB ? as currently my sound ports are at the right of the laptop, and I can hardly connect a speaker cord to it :( , everytime my arm messes up with it and it ruins the sound :(

    1) AGP simply means the interface bus which the onboard video card uses.
    2) Apperture size, means the amount of system memory which the video card can use. 256mb, means that the onboard graphics card will use up to 256mb of your system memory. So if you have 1024mb of memory, and you run a 3d intensive program, you will have 768mb of free system memory, because the rest of the memory is stolen by the graphics card.
    3) Yes, you should upgrade the drivers for your laptops video card. You should be able to find the latest drivers on VIA's webpage. I wouldnt reccomend doing a bios update, unless something on your laptop is not recognized.
    4) Yes, they make usb sound cards for laptops which have terrible sound cards. You can buy one for about $20, and then you can listen to music and plug in speakers/headphones and such.

Ok i have 1 GB RAM + my BIOS shows me only 16,32,64 MB to chose from

means I need a BIOS upgrade + RAM upgrade to 2 GB ??

+ can u please let me know a USB sound card i can buy or see my motherboard above can you tell me where it will connect on it ?
