My dell e1705 power cable has a small tear near the connector to the pc.
Some wires come out but it still charges, but just now it stops charging my pc and I can't buy another cable right now?!!!!!!!!!!!
    Can I fix it??

Don't do this (because it may result in either breaking the cable or serious injury until) someone else backs me up on this because I'm not 100% sure, it's just from my general knowledge of that sort of thing

First unplug the cable from the mains and the computer (obviously).

You should be able to cut the cable just short of the tear, then strip it so you've got two separate wires.

Cut the cable near the plug (leave about 10cm or more if you can), and strip this too.

Now connect the cables so that the colours of the outer sleeves match up and twist together.

Now cover the thing with plenty of electrical insulation tape (you don't want to shock yourself if you accidently touch it, or cause a fire.

But I repeat, I've never done this to a Dell e1705 power cable, so wait until someone backs me up on this before you do anything.

Yeah, it's possible. It's a bit tricky though, as the wires are actually nested inside each other (at least this is what I've seen for the few that I've taken apart) rather than side by side. In general I wouldn't do it just out of safety's sake; it's just too easy to short something and possibly damage both the laptop and the adapter.

Go buy a universal adapter from your local brick and mortar instead.

Genuine replacement Dell power bricks can be bought pretty cheaply. I found a seller through a search on Amazon.
