    I need help in identifying the inner components of the unit:

    2. HDD
    3. RAM
    4. Fan
    5. NB+CPU(?)
    6. SB(?)

    And are the temperatures normal?
    I'm located in Singapore and the environment is room temperature, without air-condition.

    they are all fine temps, and are in no way dangerous

    but what were you doing while useing the laptop to get those temps?

    If I still remember, I think I was surfing net and chatting on MSN, the ACPI stays above 50dc no matter what I'm doing.

    And the CPU hovers around 50dc.

    It's running Vista, does it affect the temperature compared to XP?

    vista has more eye candy so it may run a little warmer due to more stress running vista compared to XP

    So true, the CPU is <40 in XP.

    But the ACPI still hanging around/ more than 50.

    You have really nothing to worry about. I have been running my acer aspire one at 70 degrees for about 10 month. I turned my fan completely off so my acer aspire one is silent now.
