Looking at Intel Rapid Storage Technology, it shows me I have another internal sata port (see attached image).

Does that mean the port physically exists?
Where should I look for it?

I did take this notebook apart before, didn't notice anything interesting.
Is it possible there are sata pins are on a miniPCIe slot inside my notebook?

It could just be a set of solder pads that have nothing affixed to them. You'd either have to inspect the board itself or go into the design spec for the motherboard. Not the tech spec list, but the circuit layout drawings.

The chipset itself supports up to a certain number (which might be why you are seeing what you are). Whether or not the electrical connections are there on the motherboard PCB or not is another matter entirely.

miniPCIe ports are not going to have SATA electrical connections...

I did inspect the board last time I had it open, looking for solder pads that lined up like a sata connector would (Someone wrote a guide for a netbook, can't find it now, looks like the site is down).

    Some have them:

I'll take another look at the motherboard, I don't really want to lose my esata port, would be nice to have some sata pads to tap.

That's sort of what I expected, just wanted to check if it did mean more than that.
