AFTER 1 HOUR, THE LAPTOP SHUTS DOWN AUTOMATICALLY PROBABLY BECOS OF HEAT. NOT SURE IF THAT IS ONLY BECOS OF HEAT OR ANY OTHER PROBLEMS...

THEN FAN'S RUN NOISE BECOMES HIGH AND LAPTOP GETS HEATED QUICKLY....

IF THERE ARE SOME EXPERTS, PLEASE ADVISE.

In addition to this, wireless card disconnects every 10-15 minutes. I have to keep disabling and enable the wireless adapter on laptop to get connection again.

Have you tried cleaning the notebook yet? The vents and heat radiators are probably full of dust. Open up the bottom panel, and blow compressed air into the vents where the air would normally come out of to get rid of as much accumulated dust as possible. There are other possibilities as well, but try that one first before we move into more complicated items.

I am a little familiar with the HP + AMD space heaters (I mean computers).

Combine a badly designed chassis, a hot cpu and Vista (that never lets the cpu idle) and I've seen what you're posting many times. The worst being a notebook that basically fried itself (M/B) and not worth fixing.

You can try what Judicator suggests and if that makes a difference, then immediately go and purchase a notebook cooler and always, always use it.

Your only real fix is a new system (if you need true portability).

You can try to have the cpu/gpu re-pasted and see if things improve a little for you but that can't fix the poor chassis design in regards to the cooling needs of the AMD processor inside.

    Good luck.
