    Greetings,
I found this forum and I hope you all can help me. My wife received a Gateway TA1 from our University and it is now dying with a short in it that is driving my wife nuts. But the problem is that I can not find the correct part listing for this.

Like I said is that the model number is a TA1 but that isn't listed in any list that I can find for Gateway products. (In the 'this product is compatible with' list of the power cables.) I can also post my battery type if that will help.

Any help for this would be awesome and if more info is needed I will post in a later message.

    Thanks all,

    DQuartermane

Have you tried Googling the model or part number that is on the "power cable" itself?
