    Yes,the Acer Aspire 3000 series (AS3002LCi) Sempron 2800+ 1.6GHz
    Comes with a 40GB Hard drive
    Installed ram:256MB(will be upgraded to 1GB)

    I'am needing to find out;what hard drive's will go into the Aspire 3002LCi notebook?I'am wanting a 5400rpm or 7200rpm

    it would be helpful to get a budget and size desired. then we can focus the suggestions. without that info, basically any 2.5" notebook HD will fit.

    Well as for size:60GB or 80GB
    Budget:$90.00-$160.00
    Just read a few reviews on this model.About heating up badly.I think I'd better stick to the Thinkpads or Dell Inspiron 6000

    Don't think you'll get a 7200RPM for $160. A 5400RPM is well within your range.

    Yeah the 7200RPM's are a fortune!
    Well,5400RPM should be just fine for my usage tho.

    I upgraded to a SAMSUNG 60gb 5400rpm 8mb buffer (from fujitsu 40gb 4200rpm 2mb buffer)

    THERE HAS BEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN PERFORMANCE. 5400prm is enough, but make sure it has at least 8 mb buffer. That's what makes the difference.
