Already been going back and fourth with HDD ideas. But I can't make my mind up alone.

SSD's = Fast but have alot work in OS to get working like disabling this or that. And trim. Also Lack of space.

Normals / hdds = Ok but sub par performance in game loads.

I don't care about how fast windows loads or apps.
Just load screen kill me in Fallout NV or Mass effect.

I look for hdd with little to no maintence where I can just dump data.
    And won't break bank.

    Thanks.

SSD's really don't require any work. Out of the box with a fresh install, the things are fast. Some people debate over whether to use the other things or not. I just installed it and left it alone and runs fine.

That being said, if you don't want to break the bank, I think your machine supports two hard drives. You could get a 60GB SSD (around $100) and a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive for your games and data. And could install FNV or Mass Effect on the SSD as well if you want the performance boost.

I would recommend the Momentus XT hybrid SSD/HDD but it really mainly improves boot times and your most commonly used apps.

I have had a OCZ agility and it was just didn't live up to expections I guess.

I was going to just have games on the SSD.
Or should i have OS+Games on the SSD?
and data like moives and music on a seperate drive.

I found after the fast boot up times with SSD everything else seems to run about the same as with HDD. Not saying that SSD isn't any faster but it is not as much after the OS loads. And I agree with htwingnut ssd are good right out of the box. Most of these tweaks are waste of time other than tweaking for running benchmarks.

Seagate Momentus XT would be good, although game level loading will probably not be cached unless you play the same level all the time.

What brand? OCZ has me alittle on fence.
Also I looking at 120GB on newegg. Why is one price over another so more?
    Performance?

According to Techreport the Nova is faster and consumes less power.

The Intel is good too, but quite expensive.

    What my link broke?
Yeah but I feeling that Intel would just meet my expect. Or I'm dreaming.

Wasn't there an Intel 120GB around somewhere that was like $195 after rebate?
