    can some one please tell me if it's possible to upgrade my hp dv8339us laptop's 1gb ram with " Kingston 2GB DDR2 800MHz PC2-6400 SODIMM KVR800D2S5/2G". Thank you


    Other info about my computer:
    CPU Family: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2250 @ 1.73GHz Model 14, Stepping 8
    CPU Speed: 794 MHz

    I would advise you to go for PC2-4200 or PC2-5300 memory. Reason being, that some memory modules only go one step down in terms of backward compatibility. So the PC2-6400 might not downclock to PC2-4200, and you may face problems. So, before buying, confirm this, otherwise don't buy.
    Mostly DDR2-800 modules are B.C. to DDR2-533, but there are exceptions.

    PLUS, buying the more expensive and faster RAM is of no use, as the memory will only function at 533MHz (PC2-4200) instead of 800MHz.
