Can someone please help with this...?
My friend and I, are trying to share a wireless internet connection at our apartment. I have a desktop. Is there anyway i can use those USB wireless pen drives (a/b/g?) to connect to the internet without any additional hardware?
OR is there anyway i can connect to the internet without wires?? He can use his laptop anywhere in the apartment though.

So what exactly is the problem? You buy a USB Wifi Dongle, plug it in, log in and you`re fixed ;)

    That's what I did.

It's probably due to my crappy cheap wireless router that my brother bought, but it would occasionally disconnect me and force me to reconnect to it when I Bittorrent a lot. So I just ended up using an ethernet cable. Same thing happened to my friend, not sure about his wireless or router but he would disconnect occassionally so he drilled a hole and now uses a cable too.

Luckily though, I now use the usb wifi dongle for my laptop because my router isnt compatible with my draft n card.
