    HD issue??

    I recently installed seatools to check out my new HD. It is the factory HD in a 2month old laptop.

    the short and long self tests pass, as do the firmware download and the SMART check. BUT the short and long generic tests fail every time. What could be wrong and should i be worried?

    I would contact asus for a drive replacement. all you will need to do is take a screenshot of the failed test results and send an email back to asus. They should send you a new replacement harddrive without any questions asked.
